As an intermediary for medium and large companies, BIC5 mediates specialists from Business, IT and Compliance into tactical and strategic roles. We connect clients and candidates. This can be done through secondment or recruitment and selection. A permanent employment contract or a temporary assignment.
History:
In the past 2 years we have been active to help our clients make their organizations compliant with the new privacy law (GDPR). Our current company is PrivacyCompass (www.privacycompass.nl) where we offer multidisciplinary support in the area of Business, Legal and IT. In addition, we have noticed that our customers have also asked us to support outside the privacy domain and we therefore also deploy professionals within the domains Business, IT and Compliance. Always on tactical and strategic level.
BIC5:
Because this is essentially different from privacy, we also want to launch another label in addition to the PrivacyCompass label. That is BIC5 of BIC 5. The domain name is bic5.nl or bic5.com.
Atmosphere thoughts:
1) Business, It and Compliance. BIC
2) BIC 5 refers to the BIG 5 animals in Africa. BIG 5 personality test and is a joke to the BIG Four parties (KPMG / EY / Deloitte / PWC).
3) Dutch entrepreneurship and a no nonsense culture is important and we also like to see it in the logo. At the same time, we have international ambitions thus we do not want to restrict ourselves to the Netherlands alone through the logo.
4) In addition, entering bic5.nl or bic5.com must be logical based on seeing the logo. So not a mix of the C and the 5 for example.
No restless logo, less is more. A timeless, future-proof and modern logo.
Colors:
In terms of colors, we choose Sint Patrick Blue (# 173084, blue from the Dutch flag) and International Orange (# FF4F00 orange from the streamer) with maybe spot colors from the old logo (green # 06A77D and fuchsia # EC1666) and smokey black (# 090C08 ) as an accent color. Of these, blue and orange must always be reflected in the logo, the other colors are optional.

Hi,
Here is one more variation for your logo.
Have used 5 lines above the name BiC in the colours that you had suggested in your brief. The lines symbolise flow, communication, motion, connectivity and discipline in work.
Have used a new lettering for number "5" in this design. If you view closely, you can see a "key" symbol forming in the negative space between the letters "C and 5". Also that negative space key symbol connects the name "BiC" to number "5".

Also, I wonder what it will look like if you make the letters of BUSINESS, IT & COMPLIANCE bigger and put PROFESSIONALS inside the 5. -
