Needs:

The name is “by Hajo” with emphasis on “Hajo”. Think of Hajo as a master coffee roaster, world traveller, ironman athlete, tech enthusiast, and rock and roll fanatic.

Simplicity with an edge. Modern but crafted. Optimistic and a sly sense of humor. And anything but ordinary.

The main way the logo will be seen is on Facebook, the website, and on packaging. On each of these platforms it needs to stand out, be intriguing, and memorable.

The packaging is using eco-friendly craft (brown) paper, and the logo will need to be designed so that it can work as a sticker on the packaging. Separately labels will explain what kind of coffee is inside and when it was roasted.

I will be judging the submissions based on how well they match this brief, especially how they bring to life the personality of Hajo. I have included a signature to be used if you choose to explore a hand-signed approach. This is not mandatory – but rather a suggestion.

Please, no coffee cups, coffee beans, roasting machines, or any other common cues for coffee businesses.

“by Hajo” is a new coffee roasting experience. Its roasts span the gamut of tastes – from those who seek a delicious taste at the beginning of the day, to those who look for unique accents after meals. The story may sound familiar but the offer is anything but. The beans are always sustainably sourced, supporting small farmers and earth’s resources. The tastes are complex – unique blends and infusions.

Target group:

We target coffee enthusiasts, wine connoisseurs, and endurance athletes. Mostly male, but women too. They tend to be above average income and ages 30+.
