It all started with an idea...

Needs

For my website, a blog / community aimed to everybody that wants to learn about-, and how to play Pop-Piano: pop-music on the piano, an 'unconventional' way of learning to play the piano, I am looking for a new, fresh, original 'look' that fits the feel image.
The website is already there (www.piano-couture.com), but the current look / image is far from what I'm looking for. The structure and arrangement I do like though, so these should stay the same.
The new look should thus be accomplished by the things as described in the name of this competition:
- a new logo
- a new header (the whole part of the website above the main menu is yours to redesign).
- a font that matches / suites (or rather: enhances) the feel of this top part of the website.
- a background or colour lay-out (suggestions) so I can use this for the background / footer etc. myself.

These are probably all quite similar things that could also be described as: image re-design, but there is no such competition to be selected here on Brandsupply :). They advised me to try do it this way.

The 'old' 'classical' image of the piano is NOT war we're looking for.
We're thinking 'fresh', 'inviting', 'hip', 'new' in a way that pop-music stands to 'classical music' that might be a little 'neat', 'tidy' or even 'boring'.
An original mix between 'fresh', 'inviting', 'cool' and the 'vintage' image of the piano (and vintage keyboards).
The 'old' feel is only to be found in the vintage/classy/smoky old soul, jazz, pop/rock piano and piano=cool-feel. Think "Ray" (movie 'Ray' about Ray Charles).

Everybody that has a feel or even love for piano's, keys, keyboards, organs, vintage keyboards, synthesisers etc. should love to come to this website, either to learn or to watch (or buy follow up products that are in the making).
