Company description

Somali Institution for Democracy Development (SIDD) is a non-profit organization established to support political parties in Somalia, which is a new and emerging democracy. Somalia is currently recovering from 22 years of civil war.

The SIDD supports initiatives of political parties to improve the functioning of democracy in Somalia. In addition, SIDD enables political parties to develop their political organization, train party members, develop party programs and encourage citizen participation in the political process. Furthermore, strengthening relations between political parties, civil society organizations and the media is also among the objectives of the SIDD.
