It all started with an idea...

A short, interactive guide helped them discover their design style and clearly captured what they needed.

Needs

The title of my thesis is 'Menin/MLL complexes in chromatin regulation'. The work described in this thesis deals with the regulation of processes that have DNA involved. In a cell nucleus the DNA is wrapped around protein structures called nucleosomes. These nucleosomes can be chemically modified. Such modifications can form a landing platform for effector proteins that carry out specific activities on the underlying DNA sequence such as transcription (decoding a gene) and replication (copying the genome before a cell can divide). We worked an proteins that can recognize these modifications and play a role in Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type 1, a familial cancer syndrome.

As a hobby I do rockclimbing and bouldering and I thought It might be nice to use this somehow in the design as the thesis.

Beste R. Nuland,

Ik heb een beetje gegist naar wat er op de cover moet komen maar ik heb twee balken gemaakt voor tekst, die gevariëerd kan worden. De grote voor de titel, en de kleine lichte voor een byline, maar daar kan bijvoorbeeld ook je naam in komen te staan, of dergelijke.

Uit de elementen van de cover kan ik ook een achterkant en een boekenlegger maken.

Een rotsklimmer zit heel subtiel rechts onderin.

De cover loopt door over de rug (als die er moet komen) naar de achterkant.
