Design a PhD thesis cover
Contest details:
Needs:
I'm looking for a modern design of my thesis cover, titled: Dendritic cell-based immunotherapy in melanoma.
The thesis is 17 x 24 cm. The design should contain the front and back. The spine will be about 9 mm and should contain the title and my name (Kalijn Bol). Both should also be stated on the front (large).
My thesis: from the blood of patients we isolate dendritic cells (cell of the immune system) and "train" these cells to recognize melanoma cells (skin cancer). Then we give these cells back to the patient with the aim to activate the patients own immune system against melanoma/tumor cells.
Some wishes:
- Incorporate a dendritic cell (can be abstract/simple) on the cover (note: don't take a neuron, also sometimes called a dendritic cell like on http://www.roche.com/research_and_development/what_we_are_working_on/neuroscience/ms/light_bulb_moments_in_ms.htm although I like the picture)
- I don't want a photo of a skin melanoma on the cover (I treat patients with metastases in which the skin tumor is already resected + it's ugly)
Possible options but definately not a must:
- a sun could be included (increases the risk of skin melanoma)
- I like some bright color(s)
- show part of the figure/photo in/behind the letters of the title
