It all started with an idea...

A short, interactive guide helped them discover their design style and clearly captured what they needed.

Needs

Hi,

I am up to launch a new tea brand within high quality teas (loose leafs and tea bags) and later on also other kinds of foods.

The name of the brand are “Northe”.

It should be Exclusive and High end to an affordable price.
It will primarly be sold to companies (offices), supermarkets, restaurants etc. (B-2-B), and later on direct on a webside to end customers.

All kind of teas will get their own name - like “Morning Tea”, “Christmas Tea”, Stresless Tea”, “Be pregnant Tea” etc. - please include this in the design.

- The design should look and feel like the Scandinavia mood - Cosy (Hygge), eksklusive design, dusty colours, bring in the Nature to your life and body.
- The design should be elegant and simple (supporting the name of the brand).
- The design should include something around the Nature - simple living, procect the Nature etc.
- The design should not contain real pictures, but should be graphics.
- The design should include space for decription of ingredients (90% tea leafs, 5% apple, 5% orange - etc.)
- The design should include space for decription of the product (“good to be pregnant because of....”, “Great to be relaxed beacause of...” etc.)
- The design should include space for a barcode

This is the first design for the packaging that I will be representing to you: With a big focus on one of your main requirements: Dusty colours. Every different taste of tea gets it's own colour that fits the scheme. With a little bit of resesrch I found that patterns are very common in Scandinavian design an definitely gives the cozy feeling when mixed with the dusty colours, almost like a scarf around your neck. With the logo we have the choices to keep it flat and just print it as it is, but I also had the idea to lift it up with an emboss. If you're not sure with what I mean you could google: ''Emboss printing packaging'' to get what I mean.

I do think that the colours are to dominating.
Can you make them more lighter and not that heavy, and make the patterns more visible.

How do you think the tea bags (for lose leafs) and tea bags (for single shot) would look like?

For this logo design I took a minimalistic approach. The key to the design was looking for an element of nature that is rich in Scandinavia. I've ended up to choose for a mountain since many people are in awe of the Scandinavian mountains and it's definitely a place many are willing to visit. It is also a very good fitting visual with the name. These are 3 different designs that are possible. Obviously the text in 2 of them can be discussed and is for now only placeholder text to give you an idea. My proposal will be followed by 2 different packaging designs and will be uploaded soon.
