Portfolio and page design

I have a template page set up (colour, font etc.) which I would like to make into a design that I can use on my final year architect project from front cover and can be followed through to all the pages of the portfolio.
The design cannot take up any more than usual header / footer size on an A3 page landscape.
I have attached below my design template, together with screen shots of how another students approach - but just to be clear these are not necessarily design that I like, just an example of what I am looking for.
The end design must be in Adobe Indesign format
