It all started with an idea...

A short, interactive guide helped them discover their design style and clearly captured what they needed.

Needs

“Vlaskracht” (in Flemish, literal translation “Flax Power”) is the name of our new citizen energy cooperation.
We are volunteers starting with a cooperation that aims to convince citizens to invest in local power generation through solar, wind and more. The citizens have the fruits of their own investment via lower electricity charges or dividends.
This in 13 cities in Belgium, South-West-Flanders. This region was famous for its flax industry.
Flax was cultivated but also imported from other regions. In addition to referring to the plant itself, the word "flax" may refer to the unspun fibers of the flax plant. The flax was spun and linen and cloths were made of it. Even USD bills are made with this flax! For a couple of hours or days the flax has a flower. The flax was retted in de Leie, hence renamed the “Golden River”.
We want a dynamic logo combining the flax colours (see ppt).
We want two versions: one logo with also underneath the words “Burgers voor groene energie” (citizens for green energy), one without .
The “A”’s in “Vlaskracht” could be seen as 2 flax chapels (see ppt), but this is not mandatory.
