Needs

We are very pleased to ask you, as designers, to design a brand new logo for a new company: Erik van Gelder | exclusivity worth sharing. This company will operate globally to design the most exclusive gardens you can imagine. The logo must exist out of a symbolic element as well as a textual element, which at a minimum contains the words “Erik van Gelder”. The logo might be intrepid or gutsy, however it must effuse exclusivity. It might contain a subtle wink to our work: garden architecture/design. Our garden are exclusive because of three reasons: 1) the designs are extremely detailed; we’ve thought about every squared inch, 2) every garden contains incorporates a vision, which is the result of the combination of our experience and the cooperation with our client and 3) all used material suffice the highest quality standards and are very durable.

The new logo is expected to create a very luxurious and exclusive ambiance, which suits our style. Our style can be characterized with the following keywords: minimalistic, contemporary, stylish, modern and chic. Further the logo might not be ambivalent/contradictory with our corporate values, which we’ve defined below.

Corporate values:
1) Surprisingly customer focused
All our designs need to fit needless on the wishes of our client, and even transcend his/her wishes. To realize this it is very important to explore and elicit their explicit and implicit wishes. We see this elicitation and exploration as our responsibility and are very pleased to start new exploration with our clients.

2) Professional perfection
The elaboration of the wishes in a design needs to be done with a lot of zeal and care or: professional perfection. This does not solely means that the splendid interplay of lines in the garden is important; it also contains the importance of every detail. Moreover, in most of the gardens, the details provide the personality of the garden and the interplay of lines only demonstrates this personality.

3) Sincere Responsibility
The responsibility that we take is sincere and exists out of two elements: first, we take the responsibility as an entrepreneur to act social responsible with respect to people and planet. Second, we have a responsibility as designers and artists that is twofold: On the one hand we need to serve our clients perfectly, and on the other hand it is our responsibility to give our client wishes an visionary and artistic completion.
