Needs

The title of my thesis is 'Menin/MLL complexes in chromatin regulation'. The work described in this thesis deals with the regulation of processes that have DNA involved. In a cell nucleus the DNA is wrapped around protein structures called nucleosomes. These nucleosomes can be chemically modified. Such modifications can form a landing platform for effector proteins that carry out specific activities on the underlying DNA sequence such as transcription (decoding a gene) and replication (copying the genome before a cell can divide). We worked an proteins that can recognize these modifications and play a role in Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type 1, a familial cancer syndrome.

As a hobby I do rockclimbing and bouldering and I thought It might be nice to use this somehow in the design as the thesis.
